Ballots are heading out to Santa Cruz County voters this week — and Lookout’s election coverage is in full swing.
Every day, we’re bringing you new reporting on the races that will shape our communities — from the Santa Cruz mayor’s race to city council contests across the county and school board races affecting thousands of local families. We’re not just passing along candidate talking points. We’re digging into the issues, records and questions that matter to voters, including fact-checking claims in the closely watched Santa Cruz mayoral race.
We’re also bringing candidates directly to you through a series of public forums. We’ve hosted or co-hosted conversations with candidates for Santa Cruz and Watsonville, with forums for Capitola City Council and the Felton Fire Protection District still ahead.
And a reminder: all of Lookout’s election coverage is free. We believe local election information should be available to everyone in our community, and the support of Lookout members makes that possible.
So as you open your mailbox and your ballot arrives, make Lookout part of how you get ready to vote. We’ll be here throughout the campaign — and after the votes are counted, too.
