Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on August 11
- The intersection of Spreckels Dr and Soquel Dr in Aptos is closed to traffic today. Emergency vehicles can still access the area but might face delays.
- South Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel is facing closures for road excavation work. The closure will continue until 6:30 a.m. on August 29.
Long-term projects
These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.
- A single lane on Sims Road and La Madrona Drive, from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive, is closed for the SCWD and SLVWD pipeline project. The closure is in effect daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with traffic control measures in place.
- Richmond Drive at Portola Drive and 24th Avenue in Eastside/Live Oak is closed due to the Rodeo pump station capacity upgrade project. Expect traffic delays and lane closures on Richmond and Portola Drive at 24th Avenue from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting. On April 12-13, construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
