International Bird Rescue and Native Animal Rescue are seeking financial support from Santa Cruz County to aid in the rehabilitation of starving pelicans, as the number of sick birds begins to decline. Aptos High School implemented a shelter-in-place order Tuesday afternoon following a mountain lion sighting on the baseball field by a parent.
