Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region
- A single lane will be closed on Soquel Drive between Huntington Drive and Jaunell Road between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for tree trimming work.
- South Highway 1 at Park Avenue in Capitola is facing closures because of road excavation work. The closure is scheduled to last until Aug. 19.

The proposal seeks to renew an existing permit for a vacation rental at this address, which would allow overnight lodging for periods of up to 30 days at a time.
