Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Thurber Lane near 4672 Thurber Lane will be fully closed for tree trimming and vegetation management from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
     

Farmers market Sunday

The Live Oak Farmers Market is bumping with families, cyclists, beach-goers, locals, visitors, the young and the old. Shoppers find organic produce from regional farms, tree-ripened fruits, greens, fresh bread, pastries, nuts and legumes, sustainable seafood, pasture-raised organic meats and seasonal flowers. Sunday brunch offerings include traditional Michoacan Mexican dishes, gyoza, savory and sweet crepes and farm-driven meals.

Community crime report

  • A person was arrested for injuring their partner, having illegal drugs, violating probation, and having several outstanding warrants. The incident happened near the 1900 block of Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, at 11 p.m. on June 9. (source)
