Property development

  • A permit application has been filed for an ambitious agricultural and residential project at the intersection of Moon Valley Ranch Road and Larkin Valley Road in Santa Cruz County, near Highway 1. The proposal outlines the construction of a 1,800 square foot single-family home, a 200 square foot tiny home, two barns measuring 5,200 and 4,000 square feet, three 1,000 square foot hoop houses, and two 1,800 square foot produce market buildings with accompanying parking facilities. The project aims to establish a commercial farm on a 2.5-acre parcel within the SU zone district, featuring row crops, animal keeping—including cows, chickens, and rabbits—and beekeeping. To move forward, the project will require a Conditional Use Permit, Site Development Permit, and Design Review. (view details)
