Property code violations
County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.
- The property located at 187 Pool Rd, Felton, which was cited for building code violations under case number NV24684, has now addressed the issues. Initially cited on December 30, 2020, the violations included unpermitted construction work involving the conversion of an attached garage into an unlicensed indoor cannabis grow operation, as well as unpermitted electrical work from the main panel to supply the grow operation, including the installation of subpanels, lights, and appliances. A Notice and Order was issued requiring a demolition permit to remove all unpermitted work that was not subject to approval. The county is currently monitoring compliance to ensure all corrective actions are maintained.
