Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

• A traffic collision happened at the intersection of Highway 9 and Locust Ln in San Lorenzo Valley. A white car hit a deer, which then collided with another vehicle. Initially reported as a hit and run, it was later confirmed as a collision with no injuries. Caltrans was informed, and the deer was found dead on the right side of the road. The incident was reported today.
   
• The southbound lanes of Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel are facing closures for road excavation. This closure will last until August 29 at 6:30 a.m.
