Property development

  • The Santa Cruz County Planning Department has received a zoning application for a project at 3036 Center Street in Soquel. The proposal seeks approval to establish a new three-bedroom vacation rental within the existing single-family home at this address. If approved, the vacation rental would be available for overnight lodging for stays of no more than 30 days at a time and would require a vacation rental permit. Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A single car spun out while merging onto southbound Highway 1 from southbound Highway 17 near the Eastside / Live Oak area. The incident, involving one person in the vehicle, was reported as a traffic collision with unknown injuries today.
     

No crimes to report today
