Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region
- The on-ramp from Park Avenue to southbound Highway 1 is facing closures because of paving work. The closure is expected to last until Nov. 19.
- The southbound Highway 1 off-ramp at Bay Avenue in Capitola is scheduled to be closed for approximately four months as crews reconstruct the ramp as part of the bus-on-shoulder facility. The closure began on Aug. 2.
Property development
- A permit application has been filed for a project at 981 Soquel San Jose Rd., approximately 0.85 miles north of the Soquel Drive intersection. The proposal seeks to add 320 square feet to an existing 500-square-foot garage that is attached to a second unit on the property, resulting in a total garage size of 820 square feet.
