Property code violations

County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.

  • A long-standing building code violation at 154 Glen Canyon Rd, Santa Cruz, has finally been resolved. Initially cited on November 20, 2017, under case number NV24000, the property faced formal action for non-compliance with building codes. The property owner is now required to pay assessed fees to the county.

  • A code violation notice has been issued for the property located at 2209 Spencer Ct, Santa Cruz, under case number NV25233. The violation pertains to the unauthorized paving over a drainage ditch that was part of the original subdivision plan. This alteration likely disrupted the intended drainage system, which is essential for maintaining the property’s infrastructure and ensuring compliance with local building codes.
