Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

• The southbound lanes of Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel are facing closures for road excavation. This closure will continue until August 29 at 6:30 a.m.
   
• Long-term projects: **Sims Road and La Madrona Drive:** A single lane on Sims Road is closed from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive for a pipeline project. The closure is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily and will last until February 2026. **Richmond Drive and Portola Drive:** Road closures and traffic delays are expected at Richmond Drive and Portola Drive at 24th Avenue due to a pump station upgrade project. Construction is scheduled for April 12-13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
