Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A traffic hazard was reported at the intersection of Timber Ridge Lane and Highway 17 today at 6:44 a.m. A request for assistance was made to AUTO CARE.
     
  • There is a traffic incident on Highway 1 North at Park in Capitola/Soquel. Flashing red lights are present, signaling a potential hazard or warning for drivers. These lights will continue flashing until 3:30 p.m. The incident was reported today.
     
  • South Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel is facing closures for roadway excavation. The closure will last until 6:30 a.m. on August 29.
     
  • Long-term projects: A single lane on Sims Road and La Madrona Drive, from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive, is closed for a pipeline project. Traffic control is in place, and the closure is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily until February 2026.
