Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Southbound lanes of Highway 17 are facing closures for drainage work. The closure will end tomorrow at 7:01 a.m.
     
  • South Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel is facing closures for roadway excavation. The closure will last until 6:30 a.m. on August 29.
     
  • Long-term projects: A single lane on Sims Road and La Madrona Drive, from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive, is closed for a pipeline project. Traffic control is in place, and the closure is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily until February 2026.

Restaurant inspections

  • Cityteam Camp May-mac at 9115 E Zayante Rd, Felton, passed a county health inspection on June 26 with no critical issues.
