Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • A lane on South SR-17 at Spanish Bit Chapel is closed for sign work and is expected to reopen today at 1:30 p.m.
     

Property code violations

County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.

  • The long-standing building code violations at 10157 E Zayante Rd, Felton, under case number NV24236, have finally been resolved. Initially cited on May 23, 2019, the property was found to have trash and refuse scattered across the premises, along with two inoperable vehicles, as part of the code compliance monitoring process. The property owner has now addressed these issues, bringing the property into compliance. As a result, they have been assessed fees that must be paid to the county.
     
  • The property at 10158 E Zayante Rd, Felton, which was cited for building code violations under case number NV24930, has now resolved the issues initially identified on July 11, 2023. The violations included neglected property conditions with trash accumulation, multiple inoperable vehicles, scattered construction materials, and various personal items dispersed across the premises. The property owner has addressed these concerns, bringing the site into compliance. As a result, they have been assessed fees that must be paid to the county.
