Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Today, there’s a lane closure happening on East SR-129 at Locust Street because of some landscaping work. This means that different lanes will be closed off at different times.
  • Today, there’s a lane closure on West SR-129 at Main Street because of landscaping work. Some lanes will be closed off and then opened, one at a time.
  • Today, there’s a one-way traffic closure on Route 1 on East/West SR-129 because of striping work.
  • Today, there’s a lane closure happening on East SR-152 at Holm Road because of some landscaping work. This means different lanes will be closed off at different times.
  • Today, there’s a lane closure happening on West SR-152 at Freedom Blvd because of some landscaping work. This means different lanes will be closed off at different times.
  • A lane on East SR-129 at Rodriguez Street has been closed because of utility work.
  • Long-term projects: On Holohan Road at the intersection with Highway 152 in Watsonville, there’s a single lane closed for road and signal upgrades. This is happening Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Remember, the speed limit might be lower in this area during these times.

  • A 42-year-old man was arrested early in the morning for having illegal drugs on him. This happened at 2 a.m. on May 28 near the 800 Block of Ohlone Parkway in Watsonville. After being caught, he was given a ticket for the minor crime and then let go. (source)
  • A 61-year-old man was arrested and questioned for getting in the way of a police officer and attacking someone. These actions, considered minor offenses, happened at 8 a.m. on May 27 near the 180 Block of Freedom B1 in Watsonville. (source)
  • A young person was arrested just after midnight on May 26th because there was a warrant out for a minor legal issue. This happened near the 180 Block of Freedom B1 in Watsonville. (source)
  • A 42-year-old man was given a ticket for two minor crimes: driving even though his license was taken away because of a DUI (driving under the influence) and having drug-related items. This happened at 6 p.m. on May 25 near Freedom Blvd and Crestview Ct in Watsonville. (source)
  • A 27-year-old man was arrested for serious vandalism after damaging property early in the morning at 3 a.m. on May 25, near the 200 Block of California Street in Watsonville. (source)
  • A 34-year-old man was involved in an incident where he got in the way of a police officer doing their job. This happened late at night, around 11 p.m. on May 24, near the 100 Block of W Beach St in Watsonville. This situation is being treated as a minor legal issue. (source)
  • A 33-year-old man was arrested for having illegal drug items on him. He got a ticket but was let go afterward. This happened at 9 p.m. on May 24, near Pennsylvania Dr & Hammer Dr in Watsonville. (source)
  • A 29-year-old man was caught shoplifting and also found with drug-related items and illegal drugs on him. He got a ticket from the police but was let go. This happened at 5 p.m. on May 24 near the 300 Block of S Green Valley Rd in Watsonville. (source)
  • A young person’s bike was stolen around 2 p.m. on May 24 near the 180 Block of Freedom B1 in Watsonville. The person who took the bike and the bike itself haven’t been found yet. This theft is being treated as a minor crime. (source)
  • A car that was parked got damaged on purpose. The police have stopped looking into it for now because they don’t have any clues about who did it. This happened around 2 p.m. on May 24, close to the 100 Block of Sudden St in Watsonville. Damaging property like this is considered a serious crime. (source)
