LUMINOUS BEACH PARTIES
Light and nature come together not once, but twice this weekend at two luminescent events at Santa Cruz County beaches. On Saturday, Glow & Flow, a glow-in-the-dark dance night, takes over Twin Lakes State Beach from 7 to 9 p.m. Using silent disco headsets, each participant can listen to curated music and nature sounds for a sonic journey. Tickets are $25 to $42.
At 8:45 p.m. Saturday, a school of drones will take to the skies above the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for a Drone Light Show. The 30-minute performance features hundreds of flying drones that create enormous images in the sky. The event is free, and seating is first-come, first-served. – Lily Belli
