OPEN STUDIOS & OPEN FARMS
Farmers and artists offer a peek behind the curtain this week at two beloved annual events.
It’s the second weekend of Open Studios Art Tour 2026. This Saturday and Sunday, artists in North County will open their homes, studios and art spaces to visitors from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. No tickets needed — just come through.
In a similar fashion, nearby organic farms will open their doors to visitors for Open Farm Tours this Saturday and Sunday. Modeled after the art festival, the event invites ticket-holders to explore agricultural spaces for tours, workshops, fall treats and activities. Tickets are $25 per carload per day.
At Roaring Camp, Thomas and Percy’s Halloween Party returns with Thomas, Percy and other friendly trains from the classic book series and TV show to delight little fans. Train rides, costumes, live entertainment, a special toy shop and photo opportunities are all part of the fun. Trains depart hourly from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $27. – Lily Belli
