The DIYine Homebrewing Festival ran for seven years before the pandemic, and is getting a reboot this Saturday night. From 6 to 10 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building in downtown Santa Cruz, taste all manner of homebrewed beverages from talented amateurs, from wine, beer and cider to kombucha, kefir and kvass. A $35 ticket includes a 10-tasting punch card and access to a large charcuterie board and live music.

On Thursday, head to Branciforte Small Schools Campus in Santa Cruz from 6 to 8 p.m. for Senderos Mole and Music Night. The evening celebrates the culture of the Mexican state of Oaxaca with mole dinners prepared by Oaxacan chefs, traditional banda music by visiting musicians and dancing. Admission is free.
