Road incidents as of 7:30 a.m. on June 26
- Highway 9 at Cascade Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley has one-way traffic due to ongoing work. This closure will last until August 31.
- There will be alternating lane closures on both northbound and southbound Highway 9 at Pool Drive in San Lorenzo Valley because of bridge work. This will continue until April 30 at 6:59 a.m.
- A lane on westbound SR-152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway in Watsonville/Pajaro is closed for asphalt paving. The closure will last until 5:59 a.m. on July 3.
- A traffic collision happened on northbound Highway 1 at 41st Avenue in Capitola/Soquel at 6:09 a.m. today. No one was hurt. A vehicle ran over debris in the road, including a trash can, metal bar, and plastic pieces, which caused a tire to pop. The debris was moved to the right side of the road for removal. Vehicles were swerving to avoid the debris, and a large truck was reported to have dropped a large metal object in the roadway.
- A white Ford Edge hit an embankment on SR236 at Oak St. in San Lorenzo Valley at 7:08 a.m. today. No one was hurt. The vehicle blocked the westbound lane, and fire crews came to clear the road. A tow truck was called to remove the vehicle.
- A traffic collision happened at San Juan Rd and Murphy Rd in Watsonville / Pajaro at 5:36 a.m. today. A white Toyota pickup and a dark blue or black Yukon were involved. Tow services and the fire department responded to remove the vehicles and clean up fluids. No injuries were reported.
- CHP helped with construction at the intersection of Highway 9 and Kings Creek Road in San Lorenzo Valley today.
Long-term projects

- Mill St. between Main St. and Highway 9 in Ben Lomond will be closed to vehicles from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on 6/6, 7/4, 8/1, 9/5, and 10/3 for the Ben Lomond Village Market event. Traffic control and detour signs will be posted.
- Overnight closures will take place on Highway 1, Highway 9, and Highway 17 in Santa Cruz County starting Tuesday, May 26, for bridge paving projects. The work will continue through July with closures happening at night in different locations along these routes.
