One of Santa Cruz County’s longest-running annual job fairs will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Cocoanut Grove at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk at 400 Beach St.

Hosted by Access 2 Employment, a nonprofit founded in 1990 to help all Santa Cruz County residents advance their careers, it will provide job seekers the opportunity to engage with local employers and staffing agencies to explore a broad range of employment, internship/volunteer opportunities and career training programs. Hiring managers from dozens of companies will be on hand to share information about open positions, pay/benefits and the hiring process. Free résumé reviews will be available for attendees.

Organizers are stressing that job seekers “of all ages and abilities are welcomed,” noting that the fair will include employers with openings available to those with disabilities or who have uneven employment histories.

Admission is free for job seekers, who are asked to register at Access2Employment.com.

The event is sponsored by the County of Santa Cruz, Cabrillo College, Profile Job Fair, the California Department of Rehabilitation, Workforce Santa Cruz County and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Exhibitors include Joby Aviation, Santa Cruz Metro, County of Santa Cruz, Big Creek Lumber, Cabrillo College, California Highway Patrol, California Institute of Career Development, Center for Employment Training, City of Scotts Valley, City of Watsonville, Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Cruz Regional 9-1-1, Scotts Valley Police Department, Dientes Community Dental Care, Encompass Community Services, Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks, Hope Services, Manpower, Martinell’s, Pacific Angels Home Care, Safe at Home Senior Care, Imagine Supported Living Services, Santa Cruz City Schools, Santa Cruz Community Health, Santa Cruz Seaside Company, Whiting’s Foods and more.
