Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on August 25
- A tree fell and blocked most of the road at Quail Hollow Rd and Glen Arbor Rd in San Lorenzo Valley. Smaller vehicles could still get by. The tree was cleared and the road reopened by 8:31 p.m. today.
- Alba Rd in San Lorenzo Valley will be closed on August 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for tree removal work at 10370, 10885, and 11880 Alba Rd.
- 430 5th Ave. in Santa Cruz will be closed on September 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. while PG&E replaces a utility pole and an overhead transformer.
Long-term projects
These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.
- PG&E has started work to replace a gas main in the Arroyo and Jolon Drive neighborhood off Green Valley Road in Corralitos / Freedom. There is a soft road closure in the area. Construction is underway and is expected to continue through November 25.
- A single lane on Soquel Ave. between La Fonda Ave. and State Park will be closed on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p. for roadside sign installation. Traffic will be affected with some sections reduced to one lane in each direction. The closure will last through August 29.
