Community crime report

  • Police took an evidence report for several serious crimes, including injuring a partner, assault with a weapon (not a gun), firing a gun in a dangerous way, making or bringing in a short-barreled rifle, carrying a loaded gun in public under certain conditions, and causing over $400 in property damage. The incident happened near the 100 block of Catalpa Street, Santa Cruz, at 3 a.m. on March 30. (source)
     
  • A man was arrested for robbery and felony vandalism involving damage over $400. The incident happened near the 1300 block of Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, at 2 p.m. on March 30. (source)
      
  • A hit-and-run collision causing property damage (no injuries) was reported near the 100 block of Hubbard Street, Santa Cruz. The incident happened at 8 p.m. on March 9. No prosecution is desired. (source)
     
  • A man was arrested for being drunk in public near the 500 block of Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, at 6 p.m. on March 29. (source)
