  • There was a report of a fire at the Henry Cowell Day Use Entrance Road after someone saw smoke coming down the hill. The incident was reported yesterday at Henry Cowell Day Use Entrance Rd.
     

Property development

  • The Santa Cruz County Planning Department formally approved a zoning application on April 1, for a project at 23 Mound Avenue. The approved project will allow the operation of a new two-bedroom vacation rental in an existing single-family home, permitting overnight stays of up to 30 days at a time. The property is located on the north side of Mound Avenue, approximately 500 feet from the intersection with Pine Avenue, within the San Lorenzo Valley Planning Area. The project required and received a vacation rental permit. (view application)
