Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • The northbound onramp from Ocean Street to Highway 1 was closed for maintenance today. The California Highway Patrol assisted with the work.
     
  • Southbound lanes of Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel are completely facing closures. The closure will last until August 29 at 6:30 a.m.
     
  • Long-term projects: A single lane on Sims Road and La Madrona Drive, from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive, is closed for a pipeline project. The closure is in effect daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with traffic control measures in place.
     

Farmers’ market Saturday

The Scotts Valley Farmers’ Market has become a seasonal treasure to the local community and to those visiting the area looking for a place to slow down and unwind. Here a circle of regional farms, local food businesses and other makers set up their stands to offer shoppers and diners an array of delicious edibles. From May through October, the market is a resource for nutritious food and agricultural education, providing a gathering place for families, friends and neighbors.
