Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A car hit a deer at 7701 E Zayante Rd at 6:13 a.m. today. No one was hurt, the car could still be driven, and the driver pulled over ahead of the scene. The deer was not blocking the road.
     
  • Southbound Highway 17 near Sugarloaf Road in Santa Cruz County will be fully closed overnight on Saturday, October 25, from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning for pavement and guardrail repairs after a recent tanker spill.
     
  • Northbound Highway 9 at Prospect Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley is under one-way traffic control because of emergency work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. on December 5.
