Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • There was a three-car crash with possible injuries on Highway 1 South at Bay Porter, near Capitola and Soquel. All lanes were closed and traffic was being diverted at Morrissey. CHP helped with construction and traffic control. The incident was reported yesterday.
     
  • South Highway 9 at Lorenzo Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley has one-way traffic because of emergency work. This closure will last until April 1 at 3:59 p.m.
     
  • A lane is closed on westbound SR-152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway for asphalt paving. The closure is expected to last until July 3 at 5:59 a.m.
     

Community crime report

  • Police found a person with a methamphetamine pipe and 6 grams of methamphetamine. This happened near the 100 Block of W Beach St. in Watsonville, at 2 p.m. on February 26. The person was charged with having drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for shoplifting at a retail store near the 1400 Block of Main St. in Watsonville. The incident happened at 11 a.m. on February 26. (source)
     
  • A man was cited and released for trespassing after refusing to leave a shopping center where he had previously been warned not to return. The incident happened near the 1400 Block of Freedom Blvd., Watsonville, at 4 a.m. on February 26. (source)
