Community crime report

  • A 57-year-old man was arrested for having a methamphetamine pipe and violating his probation. He was taken into custody and booked into the county jail. The incident happened at 11 p.m. on March 4 near the 100 block of Green Valley Rd in Watsonville. (source)
     
  • A 49-year-old man was arrested for vandalism after causing property damage to the Pioneer cemetery. He was later booked into the county jail. The incident occurred at 3 p.m. on March 4 near the 100 block of Marin St in Watsonville. (source)
     
  • A person was stopped for walking in the middle of the road and was found to have three felony arrest warrants. They were arrested and taken to county jail. This happened at 12 p.m. on March 4 near Main St and Pennsylvania Ave in Watsonville. (source)
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A lane on South Highway 1 at Soquel Drive is closed for landscape work. The closure will last until 11:59 p.m. on March 31.
     
  • Long-term projects: Highway 1 had a southbound lane closure between Soquel Ave. and 41st Ave. on March 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. due to ongoing construction work.
