The San Lorenzo Valley’s own Coffis Brothers are back with their annual “Coffis Space” weekend event, happening March 22 and 23 this year at Moe’s Alley. The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival unrolls for three evenings, Feb. 28 through March 2, at the Rio. The Seattle-based “folktronic” duo known as Yaima comes to Felton Music Hall on March 29. And on that same date, March 29, a special show at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center featuring the African-born musicians Samba Ngo and Mandjou Koné, both of whom have deep roots in Santa Cruz, in a performance known as “Legends Among Us.”

Santa Cruz County Fair CEO Zeke Fraser resigns for health reasons
Hired in 2023 to lead the Santa Cruz County Fair, CEO Zeke Fraser announced Friday that he is leaving as of Feb. 2 for medical reasons.
