Community crime report

  • A patrol rifle was used during an assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm). The incident happened near Locust Street and Cedar Street, Santa Cruz, at 7 a.m. on Aug. 12. (source)
     
  • Grand theft and identity theft were reported near the 100 block of Municipal Wharf, Santa Cruz, at 4 p.m. on Aug. 8. The incident involved the theft of money, labor, or property, as well as fraud. (source)
