Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A lane on north Highway 17 at Highway 1 is closed for asphalt paving. The closure is expected to last until June 22.
     
  • North Highway 17 at Pasatiempo Drive north of Santa Cruz is facing closures for asphalt paving. The closure is expected to last until June 22.

  • A person was found carrying a loaded gun in public and faced a felony drug charge. The incident happened near the 300 block of Highland Avenue, Santa Cruz, at 10 a.m. on May 6. The person was released on bond. (source)
     
  • A man was arrested for breaking into a building, having illegal drugs with previous offenses, trying to use someone else’s ID to commit fraud, stealing, violating a local rule, having drug paraphernalia, and giving a false name to police.
