Coast Guard suspends search for missing surfers near Steamer Lane after over 10 hours
As of Saturday morning, the U.S. Coast Guard suspended the search for two missing surfers near Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz after they were first reported calling for help at around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Caltrans to lower speed limits on Highway 9 in Felton, Ben Lomond, Brookdale
Caltrans is lowering speed limits on some sections of Highway 9 in the Santa Cruz Mountains following a recent traffic survey. They will go into effect within 30 days, once all existing signage is updated.

Watsonville airport braces for crowds flying in for Super Bowl weekend
Watsonville Municipal Airport is welcoming tourists from all over the country as they arrive in the region to watch Super Bowl LX this weekend. Watsonville is one of 16 regional airports selected by the FAA to help support the increase in air travel for the big game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
