Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on October 30

  • A report was made today about a sign near the 41st Avenue onramp to Highway 1 North that said the Soquel offramp was closed, but the offramp was actually open. The reporting party asked CHP to remove the sign. The incident happened at Highway 1 North at the 41st Avenue North onramp in the Eastside / Live Oak area.
     
  • There was a construction-related incident at the intersection of Highway 9 and Cresta Drive in San Lorenzo Valley. CHP assisted with the situation. The incident was reported today.
     
  • There is a one-way traffic closure on North Highway 9 at Prospect Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley because of emergency work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. on December 5.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • Richmond Drive at Portola Drive and 24th Avenue in Twin Lakes is closed because project work is taking longer than expected. The road will stay closed until October 31, as more time is needed to finish the work.
     
  • PG&E has started work to replace a gas main in the Arroyo and Jolon Drive neighborhood off Green Valley Road in Corralitos / Freedom. There is a soft road closure in the area, and construction is expected to continue through November 25.
