Discretion Brewing turns 12 years old Saturday, and it’s celebrating with a birthday bash at the Soquel taproom and brewery from noon to 9 p.m. The craft brewery will release two special beers, the Submarine Canyon Meyer Lemon & Sea Salt IPA (5.7% alcohol by volume) and Anniversary 2025 West Coast Pils (5.4% ABV), both available in commemorative pint glasses. There will also be three live music acts throughout the day, and Italian food from the brewery’s in-house restaurant partnership with Sugo at Discretion. Free to enter, rain-or-shine event.
In Watsonville, woman-owned cidery Santa Cruz Cider Co. is celebrating International Women’s Day on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. Visitors can enjoy new cider releases, food trucks, a flower crown workshop and a market of more than 15 woman-owned vendors.
