The Women of Wellness Council has donated $144,500 to Dignity Health Dominican Hospital to expand women’s health services. The donation includes $130,000 in council funding and $14,500 in anonymous support. 

The council, part of the Dominican Hospital Foundation, is a local women’s giving society that has raised more than $584,500 since 2018 to enhance women’s health programs. Members contribute a minimum of $1,000 annually and vote on which hospital projects to fund.

This year’s funding will support five initiatives:

  • Bilingual nurse navigator, Katz Cancer Resource Center ($50,000).
  • Senior and dependent adult program, Wellness Center ($50,000).
  • Panda infant resuscitation warmer, Emergency Department ($18,285).
  • Psychosocial support services for cancer patients, Katz Cancer Resource Center ($11,715).
  • Halo bassinets, Maternal Child Health (an additional $14,500 in anonymous support)
