Capitola and Watsonville continue using Flock license plate cameras for solving cases; Santa Cruz ends its contract. A prescribed burn in Nisene Marks State Park may cause visible smoke in Soquel, Corralitos, and Monterey.

Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • South Highway 9 at Lorenzo Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley has one lane closed for emergency work. Traffic is being controlled in one direction at a time. This is expected to last until April 1.
     
  • The southbound Highway 1 State Park Avenue off-ramp in Santa Cruz County (Eastside / Live Oak) will be fully closed for soundwall construction starting Monday, January 26 at 9:00 p.m. The closure will last until February 10.
