Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A defective traffic signal was reported early this morning at the intersection of Highway 1 North and Park in Capitola/Soquel. The issue was logged at 5:33 a.m. and reported to NETCOM shortly after.
     
  • South Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel is facing closures for roadway excavation. The closure will last until 6:30 a.m. on August 29.
     
  • Long-term projects: – On Sims Road and La Madrona Drive, from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive, a single lane is closed for a pipeline project. Traffic control is in place, and the closure is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily until February 2026. – Richmond Drive and Portola Drive at 24th Avenue are experiencing road closures due to a pump station upgrade project. Expect traffic delays and lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting. On April 12-13, construction will occur from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
