Property code violations

County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.

  • The code violation case **NV25359** for the property at 125 W. Hill Rd., Felton, first cited on April 8, has now been addressed. The violations included an unpermitted basement conversion to habitable space with utility connections, as well as the construction of an unpermitted deck and stairs—both completed without the required county permits or inspections. These issues involved unauthorized changes to the property for habitation and use. The county is currently monitoring the property to ensure ongoing compliance with building codes.
