Property code violations

County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.

  • A building code violation first cited on March 11, for the property at 180 Mello Hollow Rd, Felton, has now been addressed. The case, identified as NV25213, involved the absence of required utilities in an occupied dwelling, a serious infraction that compromises safety and habitability standards. The county has confirmed that the necessary corrections have been made, and they are actively monitoring the property.

  • The building code violations first cited on March 24, for the property at 800 Bear Canyon Rd, Los Gatos, under case number NV25222, have now been addressed. The violations involved neglect and environmental concerns, specifically a neglected property and the presence of hazardous materials entering a water source, potentially violating riparian regulations.
