Property code violations

County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.

  • A code violation notice has been issued for the property at 399 Old Mill Pond Rd, Los Gatos, CA 95033-8561 under case number NV25311. The violation concerns the presence of an unpermitted carport structure, which was built without obtaining the required permits or approvals from the County of Santa Cruz. This action is in direct violation of local building codes and regulations, which mandate that all new structures must be reviewed and approved by the county before construction begins.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Northbound Highway 9 at Prospect Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley is down to one-way traffic because of emergency work. This is expected to last until 3:59 p.m. on December 5.
