Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region
- A traffic collision involving up to five vehicles, including a big rig, happened on northbound Highway 1 at Freedom Boulevard in Aptos. Two were reportedly speeding before the crash. Several vehicles had airbags deploy, and at least one had major front-end damage. All vehicles were moved to the right-hand shoulder. Emergency services, including fire and California Highway Patrol, responded to the scene.
- South Highway 9 near Lorenzo Avenue in Ben Lomond has one-way traffic because of emergency work. This closure is scheduled to last until 3:59 p.m. on April 1.
