Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • A gray Honda Accord and a semi-truck, possibly a gravel truck, were involved in a collision on San Juan Rd and Aromas Rd. The vehicles are on the right side of the road, and no injuries were reported. The incident was reported today.
     
  • A leaning pole over the roadway at 58 Manfre Rd was reported as a traffic hazard yesterday. Vehicles were initially passing underneath, supported by wires. Later in the evening, the road was completely closed. PG&E and emergency services responded to the incident.
     
  • Long-term projects: A single lane on Green Valley Road, between Holohan Road and Casserly Road in Watsonville, is closed for the Green Valley Road Multi-Use Trail Improvement Project. Lane closures occur from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Community crime report

  • A 54-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor bench warrant and taken to the Santa Cruz County Jail. The arrest happened at 8 p.m. on November 12 near the 100 Block of W Lake Ave in Watsonville. (source)
     
  • A 27-year-old woman was stopped for a traffic violation and found to have a warrant from Santa Clara County. She was cited and released at the scene. This happened at 6 p.m. on November 12 near Freedom Boulevard and Crestview Drive in Watsonville. (source)
     
  • A 27-year-old woman was arrested for having four outstanding warrants and possessing drug paraphernalia. She was taken to jail. The arrest happened at 5 p.m. on November 12 near the 1400 block of Freedom Blvd in Watsonville. (source)
     
  • A vehicle was stolen at 11 a.m. on November 12 near the 200 Block of Freedom Blvd in Watsonville. (source)
     
  • A business was broken into and items were stolen around 12 a.m. on November 11. There is no information about the suspect. This happened near the 700 Block of E Lake Ave in Watsonville. (source)
