Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • The southbound Highway 1 onramp at Buena Vista Drive in Watsonville will have daytime closures starting today, April 8. The onramp will be closed off and on from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, for about three weeks.
     
  • One northbound lane of Highway 17 between Santas Village Road and Vine Hill Road in Scotts Valley will be closed during the day for tree removal work from Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10.
     
  • Daytime one-way reversing traffic control will be in place on Highway 9 at the San Lorenzo River and Kings Creek Bridge, north of Boulder Creek in Santa Cruz County, from Monday through Friday this week due to ongoing bridge replacement work.
     
  • A lane on westbound SR-152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway is closed for asphalt paving. The closure is expected to last until July 3.

  • Empanadas La Linda at 412 E Riverside Dr, Watsonville, passed a county health inspection on April 7 with no critical issues.

  • Police responded to a vandalism incident involving property damage of $400 or more, along with resisting an officer and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The incident happened near the 100 Block of Front St., Watsonville. It occurred at 8 a.m. on April 7. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for driving on a suspended or revoked license due to a previous DUI. The incident happened near the 300 Block of Walker St. in Watsonville at 5 p.m. on April 7. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for shoplifting from a local business. The stolen items were recovered and the person was taken to the county jail. The incident happened near the 400 Block of Rodriguez St. in Watsonville at 7 p.m. on April 7. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for vandalizing a car (causing less than $400 in damage) and violating probation. The incident happened near the 900 Block of Lincoln St., Watsonville, at 10 a.m. on April 7. (source)
     
  • A juvenile was arrested for having an open alcoholic drink and not following a juvenile court order. The incident happened near Rodriguez St. & 2nd St. in Watsonville at 7 p.m. on April 7. (source)
     
  • A person was reported for vandalizing a stop sign within 100 feet of a highway (a misdemeanor). The incident happened near the 100 Block of Ohlone Parkway, Watsonville, at 11 p.m. on April 7. (source)
