  2. The unique, ever-unfolding spiritual quest of the Kabbalah-loving reggae savant Matisyahu continues with a visit to Felton Music Hall next week.
  3. Talk about a unique experience: Wanna hear Indian classical music from one of the world’s masters of the sitar? You can do that.
  4. It’s been a long and amazing ride for the fictional sleuth Mary Russell, and her creator, Santa Cruz’s Laurie R. King, is ready to continue Mary’s journey with her new novel.
  5. The foursome known as the American Patchwork Quartet reinvents classic American folk songs in a jazz setting, and it’s impressive.
  6. Sure, each one of us is unique, but — and my apologies to grammarians — with his virtuoso guitar noodlings, and his surreal song style, Keller Williams is even more unique.
  7. Alwa Gordon and Mak Nova are big parts of the uniquely chill Santa Cruz hip-hop scene. They host a big show at Shanty Shack on Saturday.
  8. The Wailing Souls are among the great surviving elder statesmen of Jamaican roots reggae, and you can catch the Marley movie in the afternoon and see the Souls later Friday at Moe’s.
  9. It’s a fabulous buffet table of local theater. The celebrated “8 Tens @ 8” play festival delivers 16 (!) new and original (and unique) tastes of live theater.
