I hope Santa Cruzans realize how lucky we are to have a world-class symphony. Last week I read in Lookout that music director Daniel Stewart was bringing together the Santa Cruz Symphony, the Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus and members of Santa Cruz Shakespeare for his own adaptation of the play/movie “Amadeus.”

I’m happy to report that Saturday’s performance exceeded all expectations. It was perfect. Spellbinding. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this brilliant production, which deserves to be shared on a wider stage.
