Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A lane on eastbound Highway 152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway is closed for core drilling work. The closure is expected to last until Monday afternoon.

Community crime report

  • A person on pre-trial release was found with a handgun that was not registered to them during a compliance check. The person was taken into custody for having a firearm illegally and for not following a court order. The incident happened near the 100 block of Ginos Court in Watsonville at 3 p.m. on Sept. 30.   • A person was arrested for making criminal threats and stealing money, labor, or property. The incident happened near the 100 block of West Lake Avenue, Watsonville, at 8 a.m. on Sept. 30. The person was taken to county jail. (source)
     
  • A juvenile was arrested for having ammunition during a probation check, and the juvenile’s sister was arrested for selling drugs. Both were sent to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.   • A person was arrested for having an outstanding felony warrant. The incident happened near the 2000 block of Freedom Boulevard, Watsonville. It occurred at midnight on Oct. 1. (source)
     
  • A hit-and-run causing property damage happened near the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard in Watsonville at 10 p.m. on Sept. 30. The person responsible was arrested, cited, and released at the scene. (source)
