Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Long-term projects: Richmond Drive at Portola Drive and 24th Avenue in Twin Lakes is closed for ongoing project work. The road will stay closed until October 31 because more time is needed to finish the work.

Property development

  • The Santa Cruz County Planning Department has received a zoning application for a proposed project at 216 16th Avenue, Santa Cruz 95062. The project seeks approval to operate a new three-bedroom residential vacation rental within the existing single-family home at this address. If approved, the property would be available for overnight lodging for stays of no more than 30 days at a time. The home includes a two-car garage and designated parking for guests. The application is subject to the county’s requirement for a residential Vacation Rental Permit. (view application)
