Property code violations

County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.

  • A code violation notice has been issued for the property at 1850 Ice Cream Grade, Santa Cruz, under case number NV25315. County officials cited the property for constructing a staircase and landings without obtaining the required permits, which is necessary to ensure that all building work meets safety and compliance standards. Additionally, the property was found to be allowing occupancy of a recreational vehicle (R.V.) on site without the proper permits or approvals, which is not permitted under local regulations unless specific authorization is granted. Both violations require corrective action to bring the property into compliance with county building codes.
