Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • South Highway 1 is facing closures at Buena Vista Drive for drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. today.
     
  • A lane on westbound Highway 152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway is closed for asphalt paving. The closure is expected to last until July 3.
     
  • A lane on eastbound Highway 129 at Union Street is closed for utility work. The closure is scheduled to last until 3:01 p.m. on April 22.
     
  • There is one-way traffic on Highway 129 at Salsipuedes Creek Bridge because of tree work. The closure is expected to end at 3:01 p.m. today. 

Property development

  • The Santa Cruz County Planning Department has received a zoning application to renew an existing permit for a two-bedroom vacation rental located at 157 Holiday Dr. in the La Selva Planning Area. The proposed project seeks approval of a Vacation Rental Renewal Permit, which would allow the property to continue offering overnight lodging for periods of up to 30 days at a time.
