Next month, artists across San Lorenzo Valley will open their studio doors for the SLV Art Tour. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18, the local art scene will be on full display.
Across Felton, Bonny Doon and Ben Lomond, tourgoers can enjoy not only gorgeous redwood forests and charming mountain towns but the best of SLV’s artistic community. Featured media includes painting, sculpture, handmade jewelry, wood carving, photography, ceramics and much more.
“We are thrilled to once again showcase the incredible artistic talent that resides within the San Lorenzo Valley,” says Raf Strudley, one of the organizers of the free event. “This tour provides a wonderful opportunity for the community and visitors alike to connect with our local artists and experience the richness and diversity of their work in a personal and engaging way.”
Artists will display work in their studios and exhibition spaces. Art enthusiasts will enjoy the chance to not only see inside creative spaces across the valley, but also to talk one-on-one with the creators themselves.
Visitors can plan their route with the SLV Art Tour website, which features a map of participating artists and locations. Large fluorescent pink signs up and down Highway 9 will help visitors locate the artists of their choosing.
